Warlords @ Colours 2012

The South London Warlords were at Colours 8th- 9th September 2012 and as it it 70th anniversary of El Alamein this year, we refought the Battle of Alam el Halfa (the first battle of the 2nd Alamein). The scenario is from Monty's battles Rapid Fire series.

The game started to be built 3 months ago. From this

The British reinforcements were due on turn 15, but I had some AT guns in the depression and the artillery of both sides were starting to hit their targets, but we think the Germans would have "won the Day".
German victory (again), but once again only just.

A good scenario but a difficult one for the British to win.

Down at the club - 03/09/2012

This Monday was the first night back after the summer break - the church hall isn't available to us in August - so I brought the camera along expecting a busy evening. I guess people are still on holiday, 'cos it was quite quiet, except for the 40k crowd. Our club competition starts next month (six games over six months) and since most of us are still getting to grips with 6th edition, there were several games going on.
