Myths and Legends Book Signing at Salute 2013
Osprey Publishing will be bringing the first two books in its brand-new Myths and Legends series: 'Jason and the Argonauts' and 'Dragonslayers: From Beowulf to St. George'. Based on the classic Osprey series style, these full-colour books combine great stories, factual information, and gorgeous artwork, to immerse readers in the fantastical stories that have survived the test of time.
As an additional treat, authors Neil Smith and Joseph McCullough will both be on hand at various points during the day to sign copies of their books and chat with readers.
So come by the stand and be one of the first to pick up Osprey’s newest series.

Club Night - 28th January 2013
Another set of pictures of the games that were going on at the Warlords this week. It was quite quiet; not sure why, since the snow has all gone now. This time, I managed to remember to take pictures of my own game, though sadly I got creamed by a chaos army that was handing out pie-plates.
40k - my Space Wolves being pwned by Chaos |
See those craters in front of the barricades? Once upon a time, they were my dreadnoughts. |
A fistful of TOW in 1/300 scale |
A Lord of the Rings version of Impetus |
The figures look great on these big Impetus bases |
Bolt Action in 28mm |
Spartacus (no, I'm Spartacus) |
More 40k |
This time, it's Dark Eldar and Blood Angels |
More WW2, this time 10mm early war using Blitzkrieg Commander |
Another game of 40k |
This time it's Ultramarines and Orks. All three marine players got their tails handed to them... |
Memoir '44 - a third WW2 game on the tables tonight. |

Tickets for Salute 2013
Last year, we had several people ask us about the costs for bringing their kids to Salute. We have always given free entry for under-12s, but this year we've decided to extend that to the under-16s.
Up to two children up to the age of 16 can enter free with a paying adult; further children will be charged at £5 each. Unaccompanied under-16s will have to pay for their entry at full price. For safety, all under-14s must be accompanied by an adult. We do understand that paying for your kids entry can cramp the amount of money you have available to spend with our traders, so hopefully this will help in a small way.
So come on, buy your tickets, and save a pound on the door price.
